Did not work, no instruction

As OS-X gets “easier” it get more “other” stuff. My Mac book air has a very small 120 GB Drive, and 110GB is “Other”. After cleaning up 2GB of old mail, removing all downloads and temporary files, I still only have 2 GB free. I downloaded SimpleCleaner and it asked for files to clean, and nothing will open.
